I remember that, when I was a kid, I liked to change everything around me.

When my parents left the house for over two hours, they could be sure that the lounge or the kitchen would look slightly different when they came back. I was a naughty boy!

I do not mean I made huge changes, of course, but I moved some objects around the house, from place to place, even the sofa once, with the help of older friends.

My parents hated it and always after their return everything had to go back to the "right place".

To find a solution, I started drawing interiors, and created space in my mind, and only did real changes when I could. I went to university to make my parents happy, I Political Science but I was more interested in architecture and psychology. I enjoyed learning about psychology and was also fascinated by psychiatry, which I then further studied.

Later, when I became a TV reporter, I discovered feng shui.

I started studying it and I learned to penetrate the hiding place of that philosophy; at last I had found a connection between my childhood, psychology and feng shui.

It took me 10 years to learn about that very old philosophy and also to decide to start studying interior design.

If you realize that " home is the only place in the world where you can feel happy, safe and peaceful, where you belong and want to come back to recharge your life batteries", you will understand why all this experience I had. Now they are transfered in to my passion - interior design.

I have always been very professional and I am a perfectionist with everything I do. I always want to make things perfect, so I started to help my friends to design their houses. Everything I have done in my life as a professional designer has been marked by attention to detail, with special care and an elegant touch.

I like sophistication and simplicity as well as glamour , elegance and kitsch.

I studied interior design at Chelsea college of art and design in London.  I have decided to turn my passion into my job and to share my knowledge, skills and sensitivity.

My idea about my job is to create space to live and enjoy life, with good energy.  The whole idea about my interior design is to combine rules and conditions of interior design, psychology and feng shui.

This has help us to understand human needs, to make space friendly to people with good vibrations and positive energy around, which makings a coherent integrity. I will outline here the part of feng shui connected to interior design.

Feng shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3.000 years ago in china by Taoist monks.

Most of today's feng shui chools teach it as the practice of arranging objects in order to achieve harmony with one's environment. It is also used for choosing a place to live and to improve our health, wealth, personal relationships and luck, and also to bring a prosperity and harmony to our lives. It is based on the belief that positioning objects, according to their patterns of yin and yang as well as the flow of chi, will have positive or negative effects.

For thousands of years, the Chinese have utilized feng shui to enhance harmony, peace and prosperity. To relate that philosophy to interior design, which is just a small part of feng shui, we can say that both indoors and outdoors, the furniture, objects and buildings may look very good and be neatly organised, but if they are not at the right place, then even the loveliest room might be unsuitable to relax or work. In simple words we can say that everything is related to everything - if we pay attention to our environment, then we will find ways of creating different realities in our lives. the Chinese used to say: "first luck, second, destiny, third feng shui"

In feng shui, all details have their own meaning: location, colour, shape, furniture arrangement, elements, number, quality etc. Feng shui is all about the balance of energy to create space.

It teaches us how to create harmony and balance around us, therefore we may still benefit from the ancient knowledge of feng shui today.

On that basis, I would be happy to help you with all your projects of residential interior design, be it about space creation, old houses or new buildings.

Aside from my own interior design projects, I currently work for the British Heart Foundation as an interior design consultant. I help and advise customers how to design their homes using only donated furniture and second-hand accessories. This brings an additional challenge, but with extremely satifying results.

Maybe what I say now will sound strange, but I am not a designer, who boasts million pound projects. I do not have celebrities or the rich and famous in my portfolio and I do not aim for it. What  I do have, are happy clients with average budgets and their own expectations to make their homes grand, cosy, personal and unique.

I have an individual and personal approach tailored to each of my clients. I give professional advice, in a friendly and un-stressful way and I build a good relationship with everyone that I work alongside. I am just a one-man company who is passionate about interiors and design. I absolutely love to do it and I have turned my passion into my profession.

I can work within any budget. There is nothing more satisfying, than creating an stunning interior on a limited budget, which looks like it has cost ten times more.

One of the most difficult things to do when decorating a space is finding ways to make different styles work together. That what I like to do the best. If you have items you have bought over the years that don’t match in terms of styles, I have lots of tricks up my sleeves to combine them in perfect harmony. I can help you to achieve the full potential of your property, helping you create your dream home that maximises your living space and makes your home a joy to live in.

I always ensure I meet my clients and talk through all their ideas.

If you would like to explore your ideas with me, then please contact me.

Kind Regards

Thomas
